TREATMENTS

ACUPUNCTURE
To the point
Acupuncture is a treatment that supports the body’s natural ability to heal by stimulating specific anatomical points, commonly known as acupuncture points.
The practice is based on the understanding that proper circulation of blood and nutrients is essential for overall health and recovery. By improving blood flow to targeted areas, acupuncture helps activate the body’s self-repair mechanisms—reducing pain, improving function, and supporting long-term recovery.

CUPPING THERAPY
Improve Blood Circulation
Cupping is a therapeutic technique that uses suction to create negative pressure on the skin, helping to release muscle tension and improve circulation. Often compared to a deep tissue massage, cupping promotes blood flow, calms the nervous system, and helps reduce pain and inflammation.
This method is commonly used by athletes to support muscle recovery and improve performance. Cupping is frequently combined with acupuncture or acupressure to enhance treatment outcomes.

GUASHA (GRASTON)
Myofascial Release
Gua Sha is a traditional technique that involves gently scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to release muscle tension and promote circulation. This method helps to break up areas of stagnation, encouraging the movement of blood and lymph to reduce pain, stiffness, and inflammation.
Gua Sha is often used to address musculoskeletal issues, such as neck and shoulder tension, and is a valuable complement to acupuncture or massage therapy.

What to Expect During an Acupuncture Treatment
Your session begins with a detailed discussion of your health history, followed by a pulse reading and, if needed, a brief physical examination tailored to your concerns. These traditional assessment methods help your acupuncturist create a personalised treatment plan specific to your condition.
Once the plan is established, you’ll lie comfortably on a treatment table while fine, sterile needles are gently inserted into specific acupuncture points across your body. Most patients experience little to no discomfort during the process.
The needles are typically left in place for 10–20 minutes. Many people find the experience deeply calming, and report feeling relaxed both during and after the session.
Fees & Health Fund Rebates
Acupuncture is covered by many private health insurance plans in Australia, though coverage may vary depending on your provider and level of cover.
If your policy includes acupuncture, we’ll provide a receipt with the necessary details so you can make a claim directly with your health fund.
For those without cover, treatments are available at standard rates and can be paid via cash or bank transfer.
For current pricing or to check if your health fund is accepted, please call us directly.
